No wonder Microsoft has been so keen to kill off its outdated software. Windows 7, Office 2010 and a load of server software all die this month.
Officially they reach end of life. That means they’ll no longer be supported by Microsoft. So there’ll be no updates if they break, or are compromised by hackers.
Out of date software is also not GDPR-compliant.
